The Dog " inu hariko" is a lucky symbol originating in the Edo Period. It is a traditional doll given as a talisman to ward against evil, a prayer for children to grow healthy and live long. The back side has explanations of the motifs in both English and Japanese.

A magnet 2 cm in diameter and 2 mm thick is attached to the center of the back.

The 12-month calendar is glued at the top and attached to the base paper.
